The workplace investigation is the first line of defense when it comes to any workplace claim. Many times, the investigation will determine whether or not an employee pursues a claim further. Thus, the investigation is the critical moment for every employer facing a claim and that important task almost exclusively falls to Human Resources. This workshop is designed to train Human Resources personnel on all aspects of a workplace investigation.
During this one-day program, attendees will hear from two employment lawyers about every aspect of workplace investigations from the pre-investigation issues and concerns all the way through completion and distribution of findings. Attendees will participate and learn through the unique experience of mock investigations throughout the day.

- Determine when to conduct the investigation in-house versus hiring outside counsel or a third party investigator
