The HRSouthwest Conference Committees
Must be a member in good standing of any Texas State SHRM Chapter
The Bookstore Committee is responsible for selecting the books and promotional items available at The HRSouthwest Conference; they set up inventory and operate the bookstore during the conference; and organizes the “close” of the bookstore at the end of the event.
The College relations committee markets The HRSouthwest Conference to students, solicits student sponsorship’s and coordinates the scholarship program. During the conference, they conduct student orientation sessions.
The Educational Sessions Committee selects the educational session speakers, develops the educational programs, coordinates audio-visual requirements, recruits facilitators to introduce speakers, handles all communication between conference organizers and the speakers before, during and after the event.
The Onsite Committee is responsible for on-site registration, security, coordination of on-site sign development and placement, phones, internet, and coordination of business service center.
The Special Events Committee coordinates all entertainment, decorations, prize giveaways, including the Silent Auction (supporting our student sponsorship winners). They also oversee the food/beverage and plant selection.
The Social Media Committee works with staff to build the social media program, takes photos and posts messaging real-time throughout the event.
The Special Services Committee manages the welcome center and works with DallasHR staff to develop, document and test new conference ideas.
