Volunteers must be a member in good standing of any Texas State SHRM Chapter to become a conference volunteer.

The Conference Director presides over the activities of the HRSouthwest Conference, directors and committees to ensure the accomplishment of conference goals and conference objectives are met They are active promoters of the event throughout the year and continually connect with those in the HR field to build awareness. The conference director serves a one year term as director-elect before becoming conference director and serves a one year term as special services director the following year.

The Conference Director Elect supports the conference director as advisor and facilitator of the conference planning process and assists onsite as required. The conference director-elect serves a one year term as conference director following their year as director-elect.

Education Session Director
The Education Sessions Committee selects the education speakers, develops the conference educational programs, handles all communication between the conference and the speakers before, during and after the event, and coordinates audio-visual requirements and pre-conference workshops.
